Enable IC checking

The function can be used to check the IC/Passport number for a customer. So that the system won't allow to create a new customer with duplicate IC/Passport Number.

The function ca be congigure by following:

Control Panel > System Admin > EMP Configurations > Customer : Customer Account Creation Configurations

From the screen-capture below you can see the function Enable IC checking when create customer, Enable it.

Now, this will effect on two functions.

  • Customer -> maintenenance -> Create Account -> Identity Number field
  • Trading -> FSCC -> Account -> Add personal account -> IC Number / Passport Number field

Now, to test you can go to Customer > Tasks > Create Account

You can create a demo customer and Key-In the IC number, and then create the customer

Then, to test is it really checking the IC number or not, you may go to Trading > Full Screen Cash Sale
Click on Customer > Add Personal Account

Now, try to add a new customer using the same IC/Passport Number.

Try to create, you will see the error of Duplicate IC/Passport Number.
