Sampling Tab

The Sampling Tab allows users to create sampling reports of claim lines within a specific claim cycle. Sampling reports assist users in processing and reviewing claims based on selected criteria. This functionality is especially useful for auditing or verifying claims according to customized parameters.

Importance of the Sampling Tab

  • Targeted Review: Enables users to focus on specific claims that meet defined criteria.

  • Efficiency: Reduces the workload by narrowing down the number of claims to review.

  • Auditing: Assists in identifying anomalies or areas requiring further validation.

Steps to Create a Sample

  1. Navigate to the Sampling Tab.

  2. Click on the + button to initiate the sampling process.

  3. Fill in the desired criteria for the sample.

  4. Click Create to generate the sampling report.

Example Use Cases

  • Auditing Specific Claims: A user wants to audit claims related to "Accommodation" during a specific date range. By selecting the "Accommodation" category and defining the date range, they can generate a targeted sampling report.

  • Flagged Claims Verification: Finance teams can filter only flagged claims to identify potential issues or irregularities.

  • Exclude Previous Samples: Tick this box to exclude claims that were part of earlier samples.

  • Size: Define the size of the sample to be created.

    • Random Employee: Selects claims for a specified number of employees.

    • Amount Range: Filters claims based on minimum and maximum amounts.

  • Flagged Claims Only: Tick this box to include only flagged claims in the sample.

If you want to include all items under one criteria, such as claim lines, or number of employees, you can leave the input field empty.

Additional Actions

In the Sampling Tab, users can also:

  1. Approve Claims: Approve selected claims directly from the sampling report.

  2. Place Claims On-Hold: Put specific claims on hold if further clarification or documentation is required.

By leveraging the Sampling Tab, users ensure that claims are reviewed efficiently and accurately, enhancing the overall integrity of the claim cycle process.
