Application Settings - Claim Applet
The Application Settings menu is primarily designed for system administrators and owners to manage the visibility and behavior of specific fields and features in the Claim Applet. This ensures the applet aligns with organizational policies and operational workflows. By toggling these settings, administrators can:
Streamline the user interface for employees and approvers.
Maintain compliance with organizational and financial regulations.

Example Use Case
Scenario: A company implements a policy restricting entertainment claims to managerial roles. The system administrator:
Disables the visibility of the Entertainment Claim category for non-managerial employees using Application Settings.
Enables the Audit Trail to monitor changes to claim approvals and settings.
Configures the Claim Approval Delegation Period to allow managers to delegate approvals when on leave.
How to Configure Application Settings
Navigate to Application Settings:
Access the Claim Applet from the side menu.
Click on Application Settings under the System Configuration section.
Modify Settings:
Toggle the visibility of desired fields and features using the on/off switches.
Adjust settings to align with your organization’s policies and workflows.
Save Changes:
Once modifications are complete, click the Save button to apply the settings.
Key Features of Application Settings
1. Claim Category Visibility
Description: Enables or disables the visibility of claim categories during the claim submission process.
Usage: When toggled off, certain claim categories can be hidden to simplify the user interface for employees who only need access to specific claim types.

2. Grid View / List View Toggle
Description: Allows users to switch between grid and list views for claim data.
Usage: Improves accessibility and readability by offering multiple viewing options.
Example: Finance teams can use grid view for a detailed comparison of claim amounts, while employees might prefer list view for a simpler overview.
3. Branch View - Hide Employee Ranking
Description: Hides the ranking information of employees in branch-level views.
Usage: Ensures confidentiality of sensitive employee data.
Example: For compliance purposes, only HR personnel can view employee ranking details.
4. Claim Items Settings - Hide Billing Fields & Expense FI Item Field
Description: Allows administrators to hide billing-related fields during claim submissions.
Usage: Simplifies the claim form for employees who do not require billing details.
Example: Removing fields like billing codes for non-finance users.
5. Claim Approval Delegation Period Menu
Description: Configures the period during which claim approvals can be delegated to alternate approvers.
Usage: Facilitates uninterrupted claim approvals during approver absences.
Example: A manager on leave can delegate approval responsibilities to a colleague.
6. Enable Audit Trail
Description: Tracks changes made to claims and settings for accountability and compliance.
Usage: Essential for maintaining records of modifications.
Example: Finance teams can review the audit trail to identify unauthorized changes.
7. Show Forex Data Source
Description: Displays the source of foreign exchange rates used in claim calculations.
Usage: Ensures transparency in currency conversion processes.
Example: Displaying exchange rates sourced from a trusted provider like XE or OANDA.
