 Menu Path: Accounting > Maintenance > Configuration > Add Tax Config

Tax configuration needs to be executed to record all the related Tax Codes in the EMP system as per the Royal Customs requirement. Also, this function can be executed when the company prefers to replace the existing Tax Code provided by the Royal Customs to a customized Tax Code. Note that, the customized Tax Code however needs to be linked to the Tax Code provided by the Royal Customs at the Standard Tax Code field.




  1. Key-in the compulsory fields
    1. Tax Code : key -in Capitalized Alphabets 
    2. Tax Type : select/key-in a suitable type (cannot key-in if Tax Country is Malaysia)
    3. Tax Rate : key-in the percentage of tax (0% or 6% if Tax Country is Malaysia)
  2. Key-in the optional fields
    1. Tax Code Description : details/description of the tax code
    2. Tax Type Description: details/description of the tax type
    3. Standard Tax Code : any official (Royal Customs') tax code it is derived from / related to
    4. Major Industry Code : NOT USED
  3. Click "ADD NOW"
  4. Your new tax code will be added to the system and database, it will be ready for use after you Log Out and Log In again
