  1. Go back to ‘Extensions’ on the menu, click on ‘Jira Cloud for Sheets’, and ‘Open’

  1. This tab should open up. Select ‘Get Issues from Jira’

  1. From here, set the necessary filters to find the issues you need to import. ‘Basic’ and ‘JQL’ import type would be the easiest to use. Make sure your issues can be filtered. The best way is to add in ‘Client Code’ to all the issues.

  1. Using JQL as an example, I’m importing all my open issues to the Google Sheet. Paste the JQL in the box, then click ‘Get Issues Now’.

  1. The sheet will be populated with all my open issues

  1. The fields tab let’s you control which columns to import

  1. The ‘Schedule’ tab allows you to schedule how often the data will be pulled from Jira.

  1. Once the issues are imported, it’s up to you how to import these lines to a new sheet with Vlookup.

  2. The issues will be updated automatically based on the schedule you set so no manual updating is required.

  3. If there are new issues, make sure that the new issues can be filtered with the JQL or the basic pull instructions set so you won’t need to manually update the extension.

  4. Good luck and please reach out if you need help.
