Step 3: Payment Channel Setup

With suppliers and providers set up, this step involves creating the actual payment channels that route transactions. Payment channels act as the bridge between merchants and payment providers, ensuring that payments are processed securely and efficiently.

  1. Access the Payment Channel Module.

  2. Create a new payment channel: Follow these steps:

    • Select the Acquirer: Choose the payment aggregator created in Step 1.

    • Choose Currency: Select the currency Ensure that the currency selected matches the provider's supported currency. (e.g., MYR).

    • Link to Payment Provider: Associate the channel with a provider from Step 2.

    • Set Forwarding Rules: Example: Single Channel for direct redirection.

    • Define Transaction Limits: Specify minimum and maximum transaction amounts.

    • Status: Set the channel status to "ACTIVE" for it to be operational.

  • Forwarding Rules: Determines how transactions are forwarded. Example: "All Channel" for general use.

  • Maintenance Mode: Specify whether the channel is in "Default Mode" (active) or undergoing maintenance.

  • Min Payment Amount: Set the minimum transaction amount (e.g., 0).

  • Max Payment Amount: Set the maximum transaction amount (e.g., 10,000,000).
