Grouped Item - An item that is part of a group of related products which share common attributes like features, use, production processes etc. It could also sometimes be the market or customer segment in which these products are sold or the prices at which they are offered. When selecting GROUPED ITEM as item type user can add additional child items under EDIT.
To create a grouped item in marketplace , the user need to create a new item to group all the single item as one (applicable to all user ; EMP and non-EMP)
Step to add grouped item, refer guide Doc Item Maintenance applet:
i. Click on the '+' icon in the Items menu. Create item tab will be appeared.
ii. Fill up all the required information to create a grouped item and click create once done .
Item code - once item code is created it cannot be edited.
Item name - Item Name can be edited at any time
Item type - Grouped Item
Sub Item Type - Basic Quantity/ Batch Number/Serial Number
Base UOM - Pcs/kg/gram/cm
Description - not compulsory
Currency - compulsory
iii. Once all required fields are fill up user can press on CREATE, so the item will be saved into database and
can be proceed to be edited.
iv. In edit item page , user need to go to ‘child item’ tab to add the child for the grouped item .
v. Click on '+' button and select which item to be included in this grouped item . It may consist of basic item and bundle item. (REMEMBER : For marketplace, the seller sku cannot be duplicate . Basic/bundle item that already sync to marketplace cannot be sync again via grouped item).
vi. Tick the items by multiple select and click add.
vii. Once item added, you may click on the item to remove it or update the quantity . Quantity refer to the ratio of item (ie : 2 eggs selling as 1 item . The quantity will be 2) . The price can ignore as we will set it separately at marketplace later.
viii. After done , click save.
