Step 1: Add Item

  • Fill in the Item Code, Item Name, category etc and make sure the item type is 'Warranty
  • Make sure the the item is 'Serial Number Support'


Step 2: Go to Control Panel > EMP Configurations > Trading

  • Search for 'Extended Warranty Item Search for Members Only'.
  • If the extended warranty would be for members only, make sure to check the box. Else, remain the box unchecked.


Step 3: Go to Control Panel > EMP Configuration > Trading

  • This to configure whether user need to track the item movement (whether GRN needed or not)
  • If user does not want to trace the movement, make sure to check the box. Else, remain the box unchecked


Step 4: Key In Direct Receiving Stock (GRN) - base on configuration on Step 3

  • In this case, the configuration on Step 3 is disable → means that user want to trace the movement of the warranty item or disallowed negative stock on warranty item
  • Proceed to Key in GRN manually or Upload GRN
  • Make sure to Key in the Warranty Book Serial Number when doing GRN


Step 5: Perform Sales Transactions

  • Go to Full Screen Cashsale / Create Invoice
  • Select the inventory item you would like to sell
  • Select the 'warranty item' and fill in the Product Serial No of the item which is sold

  • The price of the extended warranty will match the price you created in the Add Item function.

Step 6: Report

  • Please open different tab and key in home URL with mgt-extended-warranty-report.do
  • Eg: Home URL - "https://wavelet-training.wavelet.systems/emp/", Therefore for the Extended Warranty Report URL Link: "https://wavelet-training.wavelet.systems/emp/mgt-extended-warranty-report.do"
