This function serves the similar steps as Add Financial Year. Note that, usually the Financial Year and Tax Year are not necessarily the same on the first year of business commencement. Users are advised to identify and distinguish the Financial Year and Tax Year if there are differences specially on the first year.


Feature available on EMP on Tax Year:

  1. The first tax year may range from 6 months to 18 months.
  2. Last day of the Tax Year is taken from the last day of the Financial Year.
  3. Tax year may start before the current Financial Year.

  • Select the Add Tax Year button as displayed in the following image.

  • Click Add Tax Year button.

  • Select the Filing Type to either be Company or Group.
  • Select the Company and click Set Company.

  • Next, select Select the Date Range and select the Filing Cycle Duration.
  • Click Add Tax Year
