Please note that Inventory Category 0 is the old category, extended Inventory Category 1 - 5 is the new category levels being extended. Users are advised to set inventory category 0 with the identical settings to be appeared in extended inventory category level 1. There are some older reports that are based on Category 0. For Level 1 and level 2, if you are using 2 alphabet for level 1, and 3 alphabet for level 2 for the category code, we would highly recommend that you remain consistent, meaning, all category code in the same level will have same number of alphabet, and when you create the item code, try to follow the same convention also.
